Client Testimonials

Buying a home abroad can be a potentially tricky business if not a complete nightmare. There is liaising with the many intermediaries; estate agents, lawyers, builders, insurance brokers, utility providers, purchasing furniture, finding competent carpenters, plumbers and electricians, installing kitchens, cleaning and list is endless….. However, HELPERS have made this process as easy as you can possibly imagine! "What almost felt like an impossible task has actually been an enjoyable experience thanks to HELPERS,” says Waskett.
(Timothy Waskett, owner of a Budapest apartment)

I spent an arduous month trying to find a company to mend the underwater lighting on my swimming pool, and met about half a dozen different companies whose collective verdict was unanimous: install a new system. "The one company HELPERS sent recommended I fix the underwater lighting myself, at a cost of about 1000 HUF, and the problem was solved," he recalls. The second time I used their services was to find a company to build a fence and a gate. The contractors turned up the next day, and came back one week later with the bespoke construction, which works perfectly. Highly recommended.

When I returned to Budapest after a year and a half in Washington, I anticipated a long and unpleasant job search. Within two weeks, HELPERS had arranged several interviews for me. A week later, I was employed by an exciting tech company in a sales/marketing position very closely suited to both my background and the direction I wish to develop my career.

“Sales” seems to be a dirty word in Hungary. The company had been advertising for staff to fill a sales opening. After attempting to find someone by advertising and by calling on head-hunters we turned to HELPERS. The results were absolutely amazing. Within a few days we had interviews with qualified individuals. And within a week we had found an individual who fit the job description. He is multilingual and speaks Hungarian well enough to fit into the team. Thank you for your help!

I participated in an on-line auction and won an item that was located in Hungary. I also arranged to buy privately 2 other items from the same man. His communication was not that great, so I assumed it was a language barrier. When he would not use an escrow company to facilitate the transaction, I looked for someone in Hungary that would be able to act as the "middleman". That is how I found HELPERS! HELPERS was very helpful and contacted the man and offered to deliver the money and pick up the items and ship them to me. At this point, the seller became reluctant and would not communicate. I turns out that he was running a scam where he just took the money and never delivered the items. I later found the items advertised at numerous internet sites with bad feedback and a different user name on each auction. I really thank Barbara and HELPERS. Even though I was not able to buy the items I wanted so badly, at least I didn't lose my money!

Having struggled to find an apartment in Budapest for the first week of my arrival, I stumbled upon the HELPERS website. Their reply to my inquiry was swift, and they had a number of places ready for me to see as soon as I was ready. I was lucky enough however to be happy with the first they showed me. An excellent service, and one I was eager to recommend to a friend who is moving here shortly.

I am a non-Hungarian speaking Englishman who owns real estate in Budapest. I have been working with HELPERS for more than six months and during that time they have provided outstanding service to me at all times. HELPERS have been invaluable with handling the routine issues of apartment ownership and have also played a critical role in the renovation of the apartment including the identification of good local contractors for all work carried out and managing the negotiations with them. In addition to this, HELPERS have provided ad-hoc assistance with not apartment related matters and have been a considerable source of local information to me on many matters.

I would have no hesitation to recommend them to anybody in need of their services and I would be happy to respond to any contact made to me with regards to their service.
(Mick Spence, British apartment-owner in Budapest)

When our company was looking for a business partner to introduce our products on the Hungarian market, we were advised that using HELPERS is the most reliable way to get quick results. They not only identified a potential partner through their contact network in no time, but also provided invaluable assistance by sending an interpreter to accompany me to the meeting and help out with correspondence later on. And, to prove how flexible HELPERS is, they even managed to arrange an additional meeting with one of the market leaders in the sector on the very day I came to Budapest to meet the first company they introduced me to, making my stay there even more worthwhile.
