Employer\u2019s taxes reduced by 2%<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Starting from 1 July 2020, the social contribution tax in reduced to 15.5%<\/strong> (from the current 17.5%). Currently, employers are paying payroll taxes of 19% on the gross salary of their employee, which is made up of the 17.5% social contribution tax and the 1.5% vocational training contribution. From 1 July, they will only have to pay a total of 17%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Changes to the SZ\u00c9P Card fringe benefits<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The SZ\u00c9P Card is a fringe benefit<\/a> that lets employers achieve savings on payroll taxes,\nwhile supporting some sectors of the economy since employers can spend fringe\nbenefits on their SZ\u00c9P Card only on specific products and services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The combined yearly limit of the SZ\u00c9P Card fringe benefit is raised to HUF 800,000<\/strong> (ca. EUR 2,300) from the previous HUF 450,000.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
