They can also travel visa-free to any country of the Schengen zone. After the end of the transition period following Brexit, from 1 January 2021 all UK citizens will be considered third-country nationals in the EU, losing their privileges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Keep your EU residency<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>However, the transition period after Brexit is not over just yet. Until 31 December 2020, UK citizens are still citizens of the European Union. As such, they can apply for their <a href=\"https:\/\/helpers.hu\/ar\/%d8%aa%d8%b5%d8%b1%d9%8a%d8%ad-%d8%a7%d9%84%d8%a5%d9%82%d8%a7%d9%85%d8%a9\/how-and-why-to-get-an-eu-registration-card-in-hungary\/\">EU registration card<\/a> in Hungary, which will officially make them residents of the EU. Those registering still in December can receive a Hungarian address card and can remain in Hungary with the same conditions as before. Moreover, your Hungarian residency will let you travel without a visa to any Schengen countries.*<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>*Please note that during the current pandemic, restrictions may apply depending on the country you want to enter.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Social security in Hungary<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>As a Hungarian resident, you may be eligible for <a href=\"https:\/\/helpers.hu\/ar\/%d8%aa%d8%b5%d8%b1%d9%8a%d8%ad-%d8%a7%d9%84%d8%a5%d9%82%d8%a7%d9%85%d8%a9\/how-do-you-qualify-for-social-security-in-hungary\/\">social security in Hungary<\/a>. If you are in employment, you are probably insured already.
