With the <a href=\"https:\/\/helpers.hu\/ar\/%d8%aa%d8%b5%d8%b1%d9%8a%d8%ad-%d8%a7%d9%84%d8%a5%d9%82%d8%a7%d9%85%d8%a9\/%d9%85%d8%a7-%d8%a7%d9%84%d8%ac%d8%af%d9%8a%d8%af-%d9%81%d9%8a-%d9%82%d8%a7%d9%86%d9%88%d9%86-%d8%a7%d9%84%d9%87%d8%ac%d8%b1%d8%a9-%d9%81%d9%8a-%d8%a7%d9%84%d9%85%d8%ac%d8%b1-%d9%84%d8%b9%d8%a7%d9%85\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">new immigration law<\/a>, various new residency categories were created, and some offer preferential treatment <strong>based on country of origin<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Guest worker residency<\/strong> is one of them, offering a <strong>simplified procedure<\/strong> to specific employers if they are employing people from specific countries. (In this sense, specific employers are certified labor rental agencies and other, preferential employers.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In exchange for the simplified procedure, <strong>some of the benefits<\/strong> usually available to third-country nationals working in Hungary <strong>do not apply<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>No family unification<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Permanent residency will not be available to holders<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If the employee wants to apply for another type of residency, they must travel back to their home country and submit their application there<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Only available for certain positions (see the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bmbah.hu\/images\/Orsz%C3%A1glista_-_vend%C3%A9gmunk%C3%A1s-tart_enhttp:\/\/www.bmbah.hu\/images\/Negat%C3%ADv_FEOR_lista_-_vend%C3%A9gmunk%C3%A1s-tart_eng_.pdfg__2.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">exclusion list<\/a> in Hungarian, complete with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ksh.hu\/feor_eng_menu\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">FEOR codes<\/a>)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Only available to applicants from certain countries (see below)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Apart from this, the requirements are similar:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Employee needs to be qualified for the job in Hungary, otherwise no special or high qualifications are required<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Valid for up to 3 years, depending on the validity of the group agreement the employer has with the government<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The list of countries got shorter<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Guest worker residency is available only to applicants coming from certain countries. With the latest government decree, the list got significantly reduced.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table class=\"has-fixed-layout\"><tbody><tr><td><strong>Previous list<\/strong><\/td><td><strong>Current list<\/strong><\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Belarus<\/td><td>\u2013<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Bosnia and Herzegovina<\/td><td>\u2013<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Brazil<\/td><td>Brazil<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Colombia<\/td><td>Colombia<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Georgia<\/td><td>Georgia<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Indonesia<\/td><td>Indonesia<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Kazakhstan<\/td><td>Kazakhstan<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Kyrgyzstan<\/td><td>Kyrgyzstan<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Mongolia<\/td><td>Mongolia<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Montenegro<\/td><td>\u2013<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>North Macedonia<\/td><td>\u2013<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Russia<\/td><td>\u2013<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>The Philippines<\/td><td>The Philippines<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Venezuela<\/td><td>Venezuela<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Vietnam<\/td><td>Vietnam<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>However, the countries not indicated in the second column were not just deleted from the list of countries that can expect preferential treatment.
