Read on to find the most up-to-date information.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Reduce payroll taxes<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The 17,5% social\ncontribution tax is a major payroll cost for companies. However, in some\nspecial cases it can be reduced to 8,75%, or sometimes even to 0%, as the\nauthorities may grant a significant payroll tax relief for certain disadvantaged\ngroups. Before you recruit staff, we recommend you consider the following\noptions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Option 1: Hire career entrants<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>A career entrant is now\ndefined as someone who has less than 92 days of employment in the last 275 days\nbefore the starting date of the employment, regardless of age or former\nemployment. The company has 0% social contribution tax liability on the gross\nsalary up to HUF 149,000 in the first two years of the employment and 8,75%\nliability in the third year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Option 2: Hire employees with disabilities<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The company pays 0%\nsocial contribution tax on their gross salary up to HUF 298,000 as long as the employee\nhas a valid rehabilitation card.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Option 3: Hire women returning from maternity leave (who have 3 or more children)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The company pays 0%\nsocial contribution tax on the gross salary up to HUF 149,000 in the first three\nyears and 8,75% in the fourth and fifth year. A verification of the family\nallowance received after 3 or more children is required.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Option 4: Hire unqualified workers<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The company pays 8,75%\nsocial contribution tax on the gross salary as long as the workers are\nregistered under a certain code of the job classification system (called FEOR).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Payroll tax relief in Hungary<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>People who have\ndifficulties entering the labor market may prove as eager, skilled, and earnest\nemployees as anyone else.
