The first option in the Hungarian Golden Visa Program<\/a> is an EUR 250,000 investment in a real estate fund. The portfolio of the fund must include at least a 40% share of Hungarian residential real estate projects. The fund must also be registered<\/strong> by the Hungarian National Bank (MNB), and it needs a special license<\/strong> to be involved in the program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The program launched on 1 July 2024, and investors have been able to apply for the guest investor visa based on just a promise that they would make the investment since then. However, they have not been able to complete the investment, since no licenses were issued.<\/p>\n\n\n\n This changed on 29 October 2024<\/strong>, when the first license was issued<\/strong> to an investment fund.
