How does it work?

Georgian investment citizenship is based on a donation made to the Georgian treasury – with which they aim to finance the 43^rd Chess Olympiad to be held in Georgia early fall 2018. If you donate EUR 300,000 to this purpose, you and your family become eligible for Georgian citizenship.

What is the procedure?

You will be asked to deposit the EUR 300,000 at an agency. With the proof of the transfer, you can apply for Georgian citizenship. They will conduct a background check, and when you and your family members are cleared, you become a Georgian citizen within 30-60 days. Since your money is not transferred to the treasury until a positive decision is made, this is a perfectly safe transaction.

Who is eligible?

Nationals of any country might become eligible if they can make the donation. The investor may apply together with their spouse and all dependent children under 26 years of age. Georgian authorities will run a background check to ensure all applicants have clear criminal records.
