Concierge service / Personal assistant
Some clients use our personal assistance service for a few days when they first come to Hungary – we assist them with shopping, getting settled, using public transport, receiving deliveries, or anything else that they need in order to feel comfortable. When an unexpected emergency or errand comes along, you can call on us to take care of it for you or with you. Basically, we provide you with a local, English-speaking, practical-minded personal assistant whenever you need one.
Administrative assistant
Our assistants are available for personal errands but also for business tasks like basic administration or performing smaller research tasks. We also have personal drivers and cars at our clients’ disposal – you can use them for airport pickup, or transport to and from meetings.

One important thing to keep in mind:
Despite the fact that the company has a Russian version of their website, do not expect support or accompaniment in Russian during the actual process. We were under the impression that a Russian-speaking staff member would assist us at the meetings, but that was not the case. Russian was only used during the very initial stage of correspondence. Everything else is strictly in English.
Overall, we are very satisfied with the results and grateful for their help. If you are comfortable communicating in English, this is an excellent choice!

I first would like to say that I am old school, I believe that if you want something done right, you do it yourself. However, I could not possibly navigate the complexities of obtaining Hungarian citizenship on my own, this is where I placed my complete trust in Helpers Hungary. I engaged Helpers Hungary to help me with my simplified naturalization process. They were excellent! They explained the process very clearly and worked at my pace through the details. They engaged a geneologist to go into what is now Románia for my family’s history and necessary birth certificates, they translated and filled in all the paperwork for me, and importantly, set me up with a Hungarian language teacher for lessons. I reached out to Helpers Hungary in March of 2024 to find out if I was eligible to become a Hungarian Citizen through Hungary’s egyszerűsített honosítás (simplified naturalization) program. A few months earlier I had started researching my family tree and recently discovered I had living relatives in Hungary that I did not know about and thought this would be a nice way to honor my mother’s side of the family; also the possibility of having an EU passport was a very nice side benefit. I found out I was eligible and went though the initial consultation where I asked a ton of questions and found out they were able to help with everything from translating English-language birth certificates into Hungarian, finding my grandmother’s Hungarian birth certificate, filling out the cumbersome application forms and even recommending Hungarian Language Solutions for learning how to speak Hungarian. My grandparents, while born and raised in Hungary, spoke German so I never heard any Hungarian other than “paprika” and “palacsinta”. I had my interview at the Hungarian Consulate in New York in July 2025 and received my Hungarian Citizenship in March 2026. Learning the language is difficult enough and having Helpers Hungary focusing on most of the “grunt work”, allowed me to quickly focus on learning Hungarian.

I have an emergency situation – how fast can you usually handle a request?
Naturally that depends on the nature of the request but you’ll probably be surprised. We have been known to find a replacement secretary in less than an hour, an IT-specialist Hungarian-to-English translator in about thirty minutes, or painters for a crisis situation immediately! Of course, we can only estimate the time required once we hear your request.
What are the first things I will need when living in Hungary?
After settling in, there is a lot of information to be gathered. You need to know where the nearest dry-cleaner is, which restaurants will serve you the best food or which ones are likely to rip you off, or where the best shopping areas, markets, English-language bookstores are, to find an international school or kindergarten for your children, or a Hungarian teacher or language school for yourself. Whether you are here for business, for work, or to study in Hungary, our personalized services will provide you with all the info that you need.
Can you help me find property to rent or to buy?
Whatever you need, from holiday accommodation to corporate housing, we can accompany you to negotiate the rent or the purchase price, advise you as to which neighborhoods would suit you best or what you should pay special attention to when looking for a home, find you a garage to rent near your new place, look over (or translate) the tenancy contract for you, and take care of any paperwork.
Am I on my own once I have an apartment or house?
Of course not! If your property needs renovation, we will help you renovate it. We will find you a reliable electrician, plumber, carpenter or interior decorator – all at local prices. We will supervise their work, negotiate the price of their service, and make sure they deliver on time. If you are located abroad, we can offer you key-holding, regular check-ups of your place, or help with renting it out.
