Test

The rule by decree period expires on May 13 in Hungary. This time it will not be extended again, but regulations introduced through government decrees will stay in place: they are now made into laws with one of the first resolutions of the new parliament. No sudden changes are expected.

Since the April 12 general elections, the departing government functioned only as a caretaker government with limited powers. On May 9, the new parliament had its first session, and the assembly started its work.

If you hold a Hungarian residence permit, you must keep both it and your passport on you at all times. You should keep an eye on when your passport expires, and extend it before you apply for a residency renewal. You don’t need to report this to the Immigration Office.
